It is difficult to describe therapy in general statements because it varies depending on the personalities of the psychologist and the patient, and the particular problems you are experiencing. It is not like a medical visit. Instead, it calls for a very active effort on your part. In order for the therapy to be most successful, you will have to work on things we talk about both during our sessions and at home. I work with the belief that our thoughts direct our feelings and behavior. So if you have an unrealistic thought, as in "I should be successful in everything.", you are likely to feel much disappointment in your life. Therapy will aim to understand how you got that belief and then modify it.  Psychotherapy can have benefits and risks: There are no guarantees of what you will experience, but both uncomfortable feelings of sadness, guilt, or anger, and reductions in feelings of distress, better relationships, and solutions to problems may result. Our first few sessions will involve an evaluation of your needs. You should take this information along with your own opinions of whether you feel comfortable working with me. If you have questions about my approach, we should discuss this whenever it arises. If your doubts persist, I will be happy to refer you to another therapist for a second opinion. I normally conduct an evaluation in the first session when we can decide if I am the best person to meet your treatment goals.

Relationships in any context dominate our mood and motivation level, and allow us to enjoy life. Let me help you get the most out of your relationships, whether a romantic one, one with a colleague, or a parent-child one. I have personally lived through the trials and tribulations as well as the  joys, grief  and fun of being married, divorced, remarried, losing close friends and family, and with all of these life experiences. offer to you a dedicated source, supporting and challenging, to get you to where you want to be. It will be my privilege to accompany you in  reaching whatever goals you set.

Tailoring strategies to each specific  environment, I use  my background in psychology, sociology and human development, in connection with  business experiences to work towards conflict resolution, improved leadership and an accepting and collaborative job atmosphere. I maintain a special interest in supporting women in business, issues in race and gender that arise in seeking leadership, and crosscultural efforts in the business world.
